Know me more...
Hello, I’m Joy. I’m fifteen, tall and fair skinned. For me, my life is near to perfect, I have a lot of friends and we all get along and I have a family who cares for me. I am not the fly chick you see in malls and I like it that way, I want myself to be simple but elegant, I love it that way. My friends always remind me that I am beautiful and blessed, they never ever even once told me that I’m bland and a not-so-interesting kid. I’m always happy with them; we are just like soul sisters and brothers. I can’t say that we all have the same interests but we understand each other and we respect each other. Some of my friends likes performing, some studies but me I love playing the piano, fashion, creating looks and taking pictures of them. I have a passion for fashion. We even do amateur pictorials sometimes, they’re not professionally made but we enjoyed it. Since we’re talking fashion here, don’t you like Gucci? Oh, I adore Gucci and Armani, Valentino and many more. I would really love to have all of those super stuffs from those super designers and I also love to travel to fashion places like Milan and France. So, that’s all. Hope you find those interesting as I find those entire cool.
Short facts about me:

Desiderata
-- written by Max Ehrmann in the 1920s --
Not "Found in Old St. Paul's Church"! -- see below
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender,
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others,
even to the dull and the ignorant;
they too have their story.
Avoid loud and aggressive persons;
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others,
you may become vain or bitter,
for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs,
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals,
and everywhere life is full of heroism.
Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love,
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

344 cases for an h1n1 influenza
1% fatality rate for dengue
Which is more deadly?
An h1n1 virus is a virus present in pigs that jumped to humans.It Started in Mexico and moved to other places. In the Philippines, we have 344 cases but still 0 deaths. The problem with H1N1 virus is that it is very contagious. It easily affects human with less resistance.
According to the news, in order to prevent catching the H1N1 virus, it is important to wash your hands properly and stay away from people infected by the virus. To prevent H1N1, proper hand hygiene is the single most important means for preventing the spread of infection in schools, offices and health care facilities. Frequently wash hands with soap and water for 15-20 seconds. When soap and water are not available, use alcohol-based disposable hand wipes or gel sanitizers.
In health care settings, disinfecting hard surfaces is also critical to prevent the spread of infection between patients and health care workers. Avoid touching community surfaces where the virus can live for up to 2-8 hours outside the body.
There is no vaccine yet available right now to protect against the H1N1 virus. There are everyday actions that can help prevent the spread of the virus such as the following:
* Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
* Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
* Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
* Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
* Stay home if you are sick for 7 days after your symptoms begin or until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer. This is to keep from infecting others and spreading the virus further.
The symptoms of H1N1 flu virus in people are similar to the symptoms of seasonal flu and include fever, cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, body aches, headache, chills and fatigue. A significant number of people who have been infected with this virus also have reported diarrhea and vomiting. Also, like seasonal flu, severe illnesses and death has occurred as a result of illness associated with this virus.
So much for H1N1... Here goes DENGUE
A virus caused by mosquitoes and dirty environment which kills 2 to 3 person each week. With thousands of cases reported each year, hundreds are killed. The difference of dengue is that it isn't contagious like H1N1. Aedes mosquitoes are the carrier of Dengue viruses. These mosquitoes can be easily distinguished as it is larger in size and have black and white stripes on its body, so it is sometimes called tiger mosquitoes. They usually bite during the day time. They breed in artificial accumulation of fresh water, such as broken bottles and tins, flower pots, coconut shell, tree holes etc. Some Aedes mosquitoes prefer to breed, rest, and feed on humans in gardens, where it is cool and shady and where they find small collections of fresh water to lay their eggs, such as at the bases of large leaves. Dengue Fever is more prevalent during the rainy season, so adjusting your itinerary can reduce your risk. Mosquitoes that carry the dengue viruses like to bite during the daytime in shady areas, and on cloudy, overcast days. Avoiding areas with mosquitoes and taking protective steps against mosquito bites will reduce your risk of exposure.
Prevention comes to our mind when we hear of virus and illness. Prevention tips for dengue:
-Clean your surroundings
-Don't leave stagnant water for instance in a vase or a tire which the mosquitoes can lay there eggs and breed.
-social awareness
-water tanks and containers should be covered
-mosquito nets may be used
-If you have fever, immediately consult a qualified homoeopathic doctors or allopathic doctors. Get hospitalized either in a clinic or hospital for proper observation and treatment.
-Use a lotion that prevents mosquitoes from biting you if possible
-If possible stay on screened places
-Avoid wearing dark color clothes
Remember in everything we do God is on our side.
